Classics in the public domain that I can “buy”for free on kindle
Trying to find some good classics to read, struggling to think of any, any and all suggestions are welcome, as long as the book is free to purchase on kindle

A lot of them are really poor versions, so you have to read the reviews to make sure it’s not weirdly abridged or has a thousand typos. The good ones you have to pay for, even when they are public domain. It’s annoying.
Check out [Standard Ebooks](https://standardebooks.org/) and send them to your kindle, better quality. Very well managed collection of public domain ebooks, with a great site.
