I asked this question on r/kindle but I feel like this sub has a wider audience. So I was looking at the book purchasing options on Kindle. What I found is that Kindle Unlimited is what makes sense getting but it turns out it is only available in U.S., Canada, Mexico, UK, Brazil, Japan, India, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia?
So how are you guys that are not from those countries reading on Kindle legally? Maybe I’m just not getting the idea?

kindle unlimited is just a subscription service for those countries, which makes certain books available to download for free. if you’re somewhere that doesn’t have it and still want to read legally i’d imagine you just have to purchase the ebook

    2. You just buy the ebooks on Amazon. KU is like a library service. You check out books you want but don’t own them. You can only check out a certain number at a time and can’t check out more once you’ve maxxed out your limit (i.e. if you have checked out 20 books, you can’t check out any more until you’ve turned in at least one of the 20 you currently have checked out).

Also there are tons of free ebooks on Amazon that are on sale or for free. I find mine through Bookbub.
