I’ve got an out of the way workstation, humming overhead lights that require noise-cancelling headphones to preserve my sanity, and coworkers that deserve better than to hear me sing along with music.
My taste is a little all over the place but in fiction I gravitate towards modern mysteries (Longmire, Bosch, Reacher, Amos Decker) and Sci-Fi (Hitchikers Gude, Murderbot Diaries, Wayfarer). In Nonfiction I mosly enjoy nature, science, travel themes.
I’m burning through 10+ books a month so all suggestions are welcome, but please: no romane, religion, horror, or politics.
Thanks so much!

Some lovely audiobooks by the same authors you like are books of the Raksura by Martha Wells and Monk and robot duology by Becky Chambers
Yahtzee Croshaw, funny author with great characters.
Differently Morphus and Existentially Challenged – Governmental agency involved in the regulation of magic and extra dimensional beings.
Mogworld – Main character is undead. Hijinks insue.
Will save the galaxy for food and Will destroy the galaxy for cash – An unemployed star pilot tries to get by in a universe where transporters are a thing.
The 2 Necromancers series by L. G. Estrella. 2 Necromancers try to earn a pardon for past crimes by doing odd jobs for a kingdom. Strong found family vibe. Audible packages the first 2 books together under the title of the second book in the series 2 Necromancers, A Bureaucrate, and an Army of Golems.
The Traveler’s Gate Trilogy by Will Wight. Magic is used by calling energy and creatures from other worlds called territories. People who can draw from their territories are called travelers. The first book in the series is House of Blades.
Do you ever read middle grade fantasy? My favorite series is [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/51da4742-ca09-4638-9c93-f13440bff12b) by Jessica Townsend, and it has great audiobooks!
Terry Pratchett
