Hello, there!
I’ve never been properly diagnosed, because where I’m from, the knowledge of mental illness is still very much “behind” in terms of everything (i.e., depression = you’re just sad, you need to exercise more!) I’m pretty sure I’m on the autism spectrum. So it’s hard for me to “get people” the way people get people. It’s caused strains in several of my relationships.
I’d like to learn how to properly communicate, and properly listen.
Is there any books that you all think would suit me? For context, I’ve been judged for not knowing things that I’m supposed to know, and I’ve been accused of pretending not to know in order to be let off the hook.
Any and all recommendations would be perfect! Thank you in advance!
