Hello! I just finished this book and I really enjoyed it! Sort of. I enjoyed the sections about Hannah. I’m not certain I could have possibly cared less about Marian. Honestly, I found myself skimming her sections. So! I’m looking for more books like the part of the book I liked!
What I liked about the book was:
* Historical Fiction
* Fluid sexuality of several major characters
* Pirates!!!
* Subtle romance (not the point of the story but still present)
* Sexy man with scars that has hardly any speaking lines? Yum. Emphasis on the fact that he hardly ever speaks and that their romance was nonexistent until it wasn’t. I thought that was cool.
* Most importantly, that the main character was a woman. Not very interested in historical fiction where the lead is a man.
Does anyone have any similar books? Historical fiction about roguish young women who AREN’T pirates will do as well, but I really did enjoy the pirate aspect. I enjoyed I’m not….super knowledgeable about pirates and rigging and boat terminology but I can slog my way through it!
Hope this post doesn’t break rule number one! And thank you so much for taking the time to read this and answer!
