hi! I look for a fiction book that centers around the question of male masculinity and vulnerability. I loved The Catcher in The Rye and I’m very thrilled about On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous (haven’t read this one yet, but I’m absolutely in love with everything that Ocean Vuong said in his interviews), so I wanted to discover more literature about male characters who are puzzled with their masculinity/sexuality/self-esteem etc.
In other words, I need some books with confused and depressed male protagonists. thank you!
p. s. I would be grateful for relatively simply structured/written books, since English is not my first language and I don’t really want to go through some trials while reading a book lol
