I just finished this book and absolutely loved it! I had some questions still in mind afterwards and haven’t seen or am missing a discussion post related to it, and was curious every else’s thoughts!
Also, the more I think about it I really don’t know if the ambassador was real? In the end, there was no record of him but I had thought the other townsfolk also had explicitely mentioned seeing him, other than Elodie/Violet. I thought he could have been a collective hallucination or a game Violet was playing with the folk 🤷♀️

I loved this book! I know it wasn’t a favorite on Youtube. I always enjoy novels that play with memory. I never once questioned if the ambassador was real or not. I will have to reread it sometime and see if there are any hints towards that.
