I’ve seen so much about TLT online, and some of it seems to be right up my alley. Mystery, fantasy and lesbian romance are some of my favourite genres, and the actual plot looks interesting. The only reason I haven’t read it yet is because of all the memespeak. How people can read a book that references so many tumblrisms is beyond me. Is it just that the people who love it are young and not used to reading real literature, or is the plot/other elements just that good that the reader can look past it? Or is it the case that if it puts me off, it’s just not for me? Let me know if it’s worth giving a try, because I’m kind of intrigued by the concept.

I’d try to start reading the first book, and if you don’t like it, don’t push yourself to read the rest of it or start the next ones. They don’t get better.
Yes, if it puts you off, it’s not for you.
I found it often impenetrable, yet intricate and cleverly done. It’s not a book that holds your hand a ton. I thought it was worth my time. I have no idea what tumblrisms it’s referencing as I have never used tumblr.
