I want to read a well written lesbian romance, but also Id like to read a story where a lesbian couple just happens to exist, it would be great for it to be about vampires or fairies but any suggestions are welcomed.
Carmilla & Laura by S.D. Simper is a pretty solid romance retelling the first well-known lesbian vampire story (Carmilla by Sheridan le Fanu). I’m not sure it fits the bill for a story where a lesbian couple just happens to exist as most of it is set in a historical period & I don’t remember if it touches on homophobia, and it’s definitely an adult book, but it was an enjoyable read imo.
