I have only been on Reddit a short time but this sub is by far my favorite! My TBR is massive now but I have already started a few based only on your (yes, yours!) wonderful recommendations. So thank you.
I would love to hear about the one book you loved that you never would have even heard about, much less read and loved, if not for this sub. For me it’s probably Mount Char. Just bizarre, I doubt I would have found it on my own, and probably wouldn’t have read it but I saw it posted here soooo many times I gave it a shot and am so glad I did! What’s yours?

The Fear Saga. Super average rating. Lots of negative reviews. But someone said the audiobook slaps due to RC Bray. And they were right! 3/5 book series that’s 5/5 as an audiobook. I think lots of authors just write in a way that translates better when spoken.
Crocodile on the Sandbank (Elizabeth Peters). I’ve read several books on the strength of the sub’s recommendations, but I never would have encountered Crocodile unless I’d found it here. A pretty good read!
Edit: I used to see this book recommended all the time, but I don’t see it very often anymore. I wonder if most of the recs came from the same person, and that person is no longer active here…? Either way, I’m grateful!
A Gentleman in Moscow – Didn’t seem like my thing. I loved it. Learned a few things too.
Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon.
I had read other of the author’s works but never came across this one. It popped up in a “scifi/fantasy books with older female protagonists” and “low key books about day to day living” type of request and I thought it was an interesting combo so I went to read it and ended up loving it.
The Scholomance series. I resisted because the name is obnoxious (and somehow my mind assumed the book would be too), but I also read all 3 in the last week or so.
