The only real books i’ve read apart from the chapter books like harry potter when I was younger and some books for school have been mindset and self help/improvement books such as relentless, bad habits, can’t hurt me and a few others. I continue to still read this but I want to indulge into other genres.

I just finished Demon Copperhead and couldn’t put it down – a good chunk of the storyline takes place during the teen years for the lead male character so you might be able to relate.
Super entertaining, but bonus points for some quality history lessons throughout.

the Scythe series by Neil Shusterman!!
Lord of the Rings, Hyperion, and Foundation are all good choices
Pierce Brown’s Red Rising series is pretty good.
Jack Reacher series is excellent popcorn thrillers.
Steven King’s Gunslinger series. Also The Stand by King.
Patrick Rothfuss’s Kingkiller Chronicles is phenomenal writing and storytelling (if he would just finishing it!)
