Looking for the opposite of the last few posts I’ve seen here! A book that will leave me happy, or is comical, that can brighten my day. Fantasy and magical books are my favorite but I will take recommendations in any genre!! Thanks in advance ✨

Sourdough by Robin Sloan. There is magical singing yeast! It’s a heartwarming book haha.
The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C Wrede. YA but very readable for adults. I actually reread the series last year and it was excellent. So uplifting and lots of fun!
The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMasters Bujold was surprisingly cozy! It starts a lil dark but becomes a story of friendship and found-family.
Oh and same with The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. Has some darker elements but it is really a story about found family and growing up. A great October read!
I feel like Legends and Lattes is what you are looking for.
Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
Jana DeLeon Miss Fortune series and Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich are both laugh out loud light mysteries.
You might enjoy Terry Pratchett’s ‘Discworld’ series: comedic and witty fantasy novels. There are a few mini-arcs within the series, so a good place to start might be [‘Wyrd Sisters’](https://www.waterstones.com/book/wyrd-sisters/terry-pratchett/9780552166645) (witches arc).
For something similar, [‘An Orc on the Wild Side’](https://www.waterstones.com/book/an-orc-on-the-wild-side/tom-holt/9780356506715) by Tom Holt is a lot of fun 🙂
