Looking for one shots or short story collections or something to cleanse the pallet after reading a good series. You know what it’s like to be deep in a world and invested in the characters for multiple books and then to have it end… Just want recs that are good to just have a fling with before starting another series.

Exhalation by Ted Chiang for an excellent sci fi collection, and Never Whistle at Night ed. Shane Hawk for an Indigenous dark fiction collection.
Teaching My Mother how to Give Birth by Warsan Shire is a short collection of poetry.
Poetry is not my thing, but it was suggested on this sub and I absolutely loved it.
