I’m on a short-story kick this month and am working on ‘Bagombo Snuff Box’ by Vonnegut.
But I recently finished an anthology called ‘Fish Gather to Listen’, which is a bunch of scary stories involving water. So lots of creepy mermaids and sea monsters and elder gods.
It’s pretty fun if you like monster stories. A few of my favories were ‘Itself’, ‘Cirrata’ and ‘Pastorale’. The ones I gravitated towards were the ones with a sense of humor.
I figured I’d post about it because I don’t read that much stuff from small publishers, but thought this might deserve some attention since I thought most of the stories were pretty decent reads, which is not always the case for anthologies.
Anyway, hope y’all are well.
