I’ve recently read this book and instantly loved it. It was my first 5 star this year.
It’s not a very popular book and it’s a translated work from an HongKonger writer. But one of the things I loved about it was the dynamic between the main characters. It’s an unorthodox grumpy unfeeling “detective” /hacker and an anxious and digent librarian whose sister just committed suicide seemingly due to cyberbullying. In a series of circumstances, she enlisted the help of N who reluctantly and begrudgingly took her case.
I really liked the plot and the twists in the end. But most importantly, the dynamic between N (the hacker) and Nga Yee (the older sister). Unfortunately, it wasn’t a series and there’s only two books translated from chinese by this author.
I’m kinda bummed so I was hoping for suggestions for books characters like that? Murder mystery/suspense thriller genre and not necessarily a romance but just great chemistry. This book has no romance and i’m fine with that.
