I’m looking for any books (they can also include manhwa, webtoons, manga, manhua, light novels, web novels, novellas, etc) of a specific comedy sub-genre, “Comedy of Errors (and Misadventures)*”.
The basic idea is that the MC tries to do everything to fail at a particular objective, but whatever they do ends up as a (often hilariously) positive outcome that gets them closer to the said objective.
Examples are: Ten Ways To Get Dumped By A Tyrant (webtoon), The Genius Prince’s Guide To Getting A Nation Out Of Debt (light novel), The Crown Princess Scandal (webtoon), Mashle (manga), A Martial Master Wakes Up As A Concubine (webtoon), and Undead + Unluck (manga) (the last two kind of fit the bill, they’re at the threshold).

I think you’ll get more accurate results calling it “The Producers” subgenre, because iirc A Comedy of Errors was more about mistaken identities and assumptions. That said, The Life of Brian and The Invention of Lying are two films that come to mind
