I’m wanting to get back into reading this year. I haven’t really read many books since being a teenager and honestly I’m kinda lost in where to start.

I’m wanting everyone’s reccomendations on good books/series that will get me back into reading (something that’s interesting, doesn’t move too slowly, or is hard too read)

    Genre: fiction – fantasy/romance/crime
If you have a good suggestion that doesn’t fit my genre options feel free to leave it anyway, im open to a lot because it’s been a while 🙂

My go to book rec for people who want to get (or get back) into reading is Holes by Louis Sachar, because it appeals to all ages, has really short chapters, and is super engaging!

The Dresden Files, The Darth Bane Triliogy (Star Wars EU), The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, Fairy Tale by Stephen King, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

    3. its easier to jump back into reading through something short- 200 pages or less

the little prince, metamorphosis, great gatsby could be good options

if not that, perhaps a YA series that captures you. Like the golden compass

If you would be open to science fiction, I’d recommend Dark Matter by Blake Crouch! Very fast paced, gripping, and would say there’s some crime elements

    5. romance – Talia Hibbert’s Brown Sisters trilogy

fantasy/romance – The Saint of Steel series by T Kingfisher

fantasy/mystery – October Daye series by Seanan McGuire

crime/thriller – Frieda Klein series by Nicci French

    6. The Terminal List series by Jack Carr for action.
The Force by Don Winslow for crime.
The David Wolf series by Jeff Carson for easy read mystery/crime.
Dark matter by Blake Crouch for sci-fi thriller.
The Outsider by Stephen King for horror/thriller.
