    I am someone who loved reading every single book I could get my hands on as a kid and often would read them in one sitting no matter how long it took. I still love reading but as I turned into an adult I fell of for a few years. Looking back I can see my obsession with reading so much was a form of escapism to childhood circumstance, but now that I am trying to get back into it I feel like I am slipping back to those habits.

    I don’t have the time to do it all sitting and I know this and try to set limits of either a time or chapter limit, but as soon as it hits I just keep thinking “A few more minutes” or “one more chapter” and don’t ever stop unles something I have to do like work gets in the way. If that happens all I can think about is how I want to be reading and the first thing I do when I get back. And I find myself wanting to read books but knowing I can’t read a lot, I never end up picking them up.

    I don’t think that is a bad thing in itself but I am putting off other things in my life because of it like schoolwork and chores which then adds up and makes me keep reading cause I am overwhelmed. I think am just making this post to see if anyone else has struggled with it or any tips to set boundaries with yourself in this context. I would love to be able to just read a bit and feel fulfilled and then be able to about the rest of my day.
