I’m not well-read in fantasy fiction and was hoping for some recommendations. I’m looking for a “warm-cozy” type world to get lost in, whether a standalone book or even a series.
I was a huge Harry Potter fan growing up, enjoyed the LOTR (fantasy but I wouldn’t describe it as “warm-cozy” outside of the Shire lol), recently read TJ Klines House in the Cerulean Sea and thought that was just a nice little story. Other than that I haven’t dipped my toes in much so please let me know your favourites! I’m pretty open as long as it’s a good story and well written.

There’s a lot: Look at David Eddings for instance. Or Tad Williams, Robin Hobb, Margret Weis & Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance Chronicles are great, plus much more), Dave Duncan …
For cozy, I’m sure you’ve heard of Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree.
For an easier introduction into fantasy, I’d recommend Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi. It’s the first of a trilogy (third book releases this year). It’s YA, which I was weary of because I haven’t had a ton of luck with YA. But it’s great. The plot line is very engaging. I was hooked from beginning to end.
The only ones that I have read in this category are the *Monk and Robot* series by Becky Chambers. They are two short Solarpunk novellas and are certainly inside the realm of cozy fiction. They are rather short books and easily read as well!
r/CozyFantasy will certainly have more recommendations for you.
Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. I read this last year and found it a light hearted and an easy read. If you liked TJ Klines, I think you will like this.
