I’ve taken on a difficult task and decided to read the Mistborn series. I’m gonna be done the last book sometime next week and want some recommendations based off my favourites.
– ALLIES by Alan Gratz
– The Shining by Stephen King, i really loved this and am probably going to read Salem’s Lot soon after finishing the Mistborn trilogy.
– The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, not the best written but the story is told extremely well.
– Sherlock Holmes. I’ve read all of Conan Doyle’S Sherlock stories.
– Keep it in The Family by John Marrs
The Road by Cormac McCarthy (RIP), such a fucking visceral novel. It’s one of those works where it just felt like I was there, the ending absolutely got me.
I really like the Mistborn trilogy by I don’t want to read anything of that length again, not for a while. The max pages I’m willing to do is 500 or so. Btw, I like history but have never really read any historical fiction so I’d appreciate some suggestions.
Little edit: I tried reading Song of Achilles, but didn’t like the romantic aspects. I have never been a fan of heavy romance and the descriptions and dynamic just didn’t click for me.

The Stand and 11/22/63 by Stephen King
For historical fiction, Master and Commander by Patrick O’Brian
