I really need some fun thrillers/mystery books to read written by women and with female MCs. Preferably mid on the gore scale. I don’t mind romance, but I don’t want it to be the main plot. I also like funny thriller/mysteries like Finley Donovan is Killing It or Dial A for Aunties. I don’t really like long series (more than 3 books), because I usually abandon them. Standalones are fine as well. Some authors I have enjoyed are Stacy Willingham, Nita Prose, Liane Moriarty, Jesse S. Quanto, and Mary Kubica.
