My biggest challenge on notetaking I believe is this. A book I take notes on is selected by me to answer a question. Being as it is a whole book it has a plethora of information relating to my topic. I have a wildly difficult time separating the wheat from the chaff, getting the “gist” of the writing. Every paragraph to me feels like I need to take notes on it. I think that’s probably extremely inefficient but what do I know? I’m just a useless idiot 19-year-old. I mean that without sarcasm.
I’m extremely hungry for knowledge. Is there any literature I could read to help myself take notes better? And not just better notes honestly, books or advice on how to write overall wouldn’t be so bad. How do I become efficient at taking notes? Should I join a writing class? Does notetaking get easier the more I do it?
