I really loved reading the book “Platonic: How the Science of Attachment Can Help You Make–and Keep–Friends”. It was instrumental in helping me learn how to maintain my friendships and seek out friendships that were healthy and happy.

I liked that the book offered a lot of science and study behind how to make friends, provided a lot of tips that I could replicate (and didn’t just tell me to seek therapy), and wasn’t mentally exhausting to read (unlike “What happened to you?” and “The Body Keeps the Score”).

Now, I am hoping to find other similar books that may help with self-esteem issues (from bullying and abuse), social anxiety, and DPDR (which is how my social anxiety manifests). I am currently reading “How to be yourself”, but am finding that it is so many anecdotes, but takes a while to get to replicable tips.

      What is DPDR?

My favorite self-help book is Tiny Habits by BJ Fogg. It has helped me a lot with my anxiety and depression. It’s not really specific to any of the issues that you named but I think it’s great for people who tend to get overwhelmed.
