Her all time favorite story is wings of fire (graphic novels), she doesn’t want to read the novels though.

What she is looking for: animal stories, happy/good ending, war, prophecy, friendship, happy overall.

Does not like – sad ending, alone.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated, I am an avid reader and hope to encourage her to read more (chapter books).

My 10yo says the Land of Stories, the Unicorn Quest, Forgotten Five, Magic Misfits, Keeper of the Lost Cities, School for Good and Evil, Alcatraz Vs the Evil Librarians, Enchanted Forest Chronicles, and Starfell series.

    2. My daughter is just about to turn 10 and really enjoyed the Wings of Fire series. I’d also recommend the Animorphs (they are being released in Graphic novels but there are only 4 out so far). Katie the Catsitter, Babysitters little sister, animal rescue friends, sea keepers series, and the Phoebe and her Unicorn series.

    3. The *Warhammer Adventures* series by Cavan Scott and Tom Huddleston. It is split into two subseries, each six books long. *Warped Galaxies* is sci-fi, written by Cavan Scott, and follows three preteens who must regroup with their loved ones after their planet was destroyed. *Realm Quest* is fantasy, written by Tom Huddleston, and follows a group of preteens who are drawn to the city of Lifestone due to the mysterious glyphs that they each have on their bodies.

    4. Has she read the Warriors books? About a bunch of wild cat clans that battle, explore, etc. There’s dozens of them and i really liked them when I was young.

She might enjoy the Animal Ark series. They’re age appropriate and really enjoyable for an animal-loving kid.

The Last Dragon Chronicles, starting with The Fire Within by Chris D’Lacey. Mainly dragons but other mythological species included, definitely an interesting and magical storyline but specific dragons also make the challenging parts of the storyline very cute and positive.

I was around her age when I read them and they’re still a favourite in my collection.
