Has anyone read this recent book of short stories. It is a gothic, baroque set of tales that remind me of the wildest of Kafka. I cannot say I can make sense of most of the stories, though there is an underlying theme of rot, anti-capitalism and disenfranchisement that is built into every page. I also feel there is an odd feeling of privileged anger that I often get from young highly educated writers.
In any case, I find the stories visceral, sexual, repulsive and compelling all rolled into one.
Would like to hear from others who may have read this.
