I think we can all agree that books in general cover a very wide range of ideas, metaphors and themes and there is lots to choose from obviously!
But at the same time authors can bog their own stories down with anything, from being taken by someone else’s ideas, to being overly analytical or obsessive over a small part of the idea itself or even just lose themselves to a story, making it a bit messy either by focusing on too many elements or make it drag when only focusing on this one thing that They as the author have an intense interest in.
Not saying Any of this is bad, Just that it can limit viewers who won’t get caught up on the same satisfaction as the author, and that too isn’t a problem until you start reading a lot of the same type of book and run into the Same themes, conflicts and ideas as the previous 10.
So i wanted to question others and see what (especially in your favorite genres) do you think should be explored more, given attention too or maybe even see some books with tropes or themes that are done away with?
Not talking about an authors writing style, just more the ideas that they focus on \^\_\^
