Picked up Parables of the Sower at the airport, finished her book in a day, and then quickly found it’s sequel. And I don’t even read fiction. Who would have guessed I would ever fall for this Afrofuturist feminist science fiction writer? Her fiction is so close to fact or where we could be heading. And who could imagine she would come up with the political campaign motto of “Make America great again” when she died in 2006…. Crystal ball? What a story teller! …. That is all, but when in love one must take a moment to scream it from the mountain tops (of reddit).

Octavia Butler is an author I really want to get into,but haven’t got the chance yet! I’ve heard that her “Parables” books are amazing!
And also the MAGA slogan is much older than Trump. It was used by Ronald Reagan during the 1980 presidential election,and I also believe someone else had used it even earlier than that,but I cannot recall who.
