Up until about a week ago, I hadn’t read more than one book at a time. I was having trouble getting through the first few chapters of American Psycho, so I decided to balance it out with something more energetic and fun, namely the first Witcher book.
I found that, even once I started to get into American Psycho more, I still liked reading two books at once. It’s so much easier to combat reader’s fatigue with multiple books on hand.
That being said, even though I can definitely handle two books simultaneously, I’m not sure how far I can go. I don’t want to dilute my reading experience by overextending myself. I expect it varies from individual to individual, and I also know that one’s success hinges on their books’ ability to balance one another, but for those who have fallen prey to this trap, where did you find your breaking point?
