I am nonbinary in my 30s and autistic, I’m interested in reading more about the ways neurodivergence and gender intersect and the difference in experience therein.
More specifically, I’m interested in the autistic discomfort of being perceived and how that informs gender. So much about gender is about presentation and personal expression, but how does that look and feel for someone who does not think about themselves in the world in that way? What about when ones gender is less about how the the interaction between the world and the self and more about the ways one interacts with ideas, concepts, and media?
