Hi everyone, I’m looking for books about traveling to/in Jamaica.
I do NOT mean travel guides – “Top 10 Restaurants in Town,” nothing like that.
I’m looking along the lines of a Bill Bryson approach, similar to his “In a Sunburned Country” about Australia. Or, maybe, a written version of something like Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” TV series. In both of these examples, the authors/hosts are outsiders giving candid takes on their experiences. While also being, at times, witty, snarky, sincere, romantic, etc. That’s the sort of thing I’m after.
I’ve done some googling. But I come up with are fiction set in Jamaica or the aforementioned travel guide type books.
Does anything like this exist? Thanks!
