Recently I have stepped into a new career field and career role as a supervisor over a vast number of people. I have a great mentor within my new company and role and one thing that they have sincerely offered me as constructive criticism is to be more authoritative in my actions and directions (dealing with sub contractors specifically).
What are some good leadership books especially ones that deal with authority to help me grow into this role? I really strive to be a leader and not a boss.
