The Arabic melody, the way the lyrics sounds like he’s telling a story, the dreamlike quality of it, it just lines up so perfectly.
[**Seven Devils by Florence + the Machine:**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eI9PwtY8gTA) I had once asked for book recommendations based on this song and someone had recommended **Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery by Brom**. Thank you to whoever recommended it because you were spot on! The whole song sounds really witchy and has a strong ‘I’m not coming back from this’ type of revenge theme which is pretty much the same theme as the book.

I know it’s literally about the emotion of anxiety, but the french language combined with the tone and some of the lyrics really align well with the book for me. “I am the one that you do not see. I am the one that you do not hear. I am hidden on the verge of tears. I am the queen of tragedies.”
