    Having the following characteristics:

    gothic or something like that;

    without (many) details outside the main characters;

    without many characters (preferably two);

    philosophical and psychological aspect;

    extremely intense;

    non-fiction.

    If possible, let it have psychological horror. I really wanted to read a book like this, but the romances I’ve read have a very “mellow” language and are “clichés”; I wanted something more human being, I don’t know, more real and hard to read, complex and intense.

      Jane Eyre fits that bill fairly well outside of the non-fiction part. It’s a gothic romance and the language is the furthest from mellow or cliche.

      If you’re looking for a spicy/smut psychological horror romance, the Haunting Adeline series is pretty popular.
