Hi all, I’m a big fan of H Rider Haggard classics, particularly and most obviously King Solomon’s Mines and She. I was listening to a podcast discussing these works and they mentioned that a more recent novelist who can be seen as deeply inspired by both their details and themes is Wilbur Smith. This has made me very keen to read his work but the one thing I know about him is that he was an extremely prolific writer so I am wondering where to begin when reading his novels, particularly with an interest in those most clearly in the H Rider Haggard line. If there are clear suggestions to be made about what order to read Smith’s stuff in general I would also love to know. Thanks for any help you can provide!
