With halloween coming up I wanted to try out a horror book but I’ve never really ventured into this genre before and I’m not sure how to find what I want. I’d love a supernatural horror over a contemporary one and I’d prefer that it wasn’t just violent for violence sake. Ive seen some truly egregious recommendations where female characters are just used as a puppet for the authors twisted imagination and I’m not really into that. Like bad things can happen but not ‘only’ bad things if you get what I mean. A girl needs a tiny bit of hope lol.
I was thinking something similar to Jennifer’s Body or Ready or Not. Some good body horror with female rage.
