I’ve read ‘The World Without Us’ and it really got my imagination whiring and would like to have read about characters and stories within a world like that.
I didn’t finish ‘Annihilation’ although I did enjoy the sense of exploration and the juxtaposition of the familiar with the alien.
I really enjoyed ‘Island’ by Aldous Huxley, but looking for something a little more fun and a little less preachy.
Nothing too ‘gritty’, I guess I’m kinda looking for something cosy, a bit Becky Chambers-ish maybe?
No ‘we can rebuild society!’ type stuff either! I’ve played the Horizon games and enjoyed the different tribes that sprang up and how they interact live live together while still maintaining very different cultures and identities.
A sense of harmony with nature and living with nature.
I enjoy the imagery of ‘The Lost World’, the modern buildings reclaimed by nature.
Lots of jumbled thoughts and ideas here and maybe it’s too specific but lemme hear what have!
