Fantasy books with a relatable narrator and vivid worldbuilding always leave me with this sense of longing and heartbreak.
Books that have made me feel this way in the past: the Harry Potter series, the Farseer trilogy (not the sequels so much), and to a lesser extent, Tigana.
I kinda prefer books with a relatively ordinary narrator, if that makes sense (for example, I enjoyed the Percy Jackson books when I was younger, but the narrator is rather overpowered in comparison to the other characters, which cuts the relatability for me). Trying to pick up reading once more after a loong slump. TIA!
