Very much a fan of this book, and even the 2003 movie was a decent rendition of it, and I even have it on audiobook which enhances it for me.
I will never ever consciously pick on details in the books I read unless it’s something that gets stuck a long time after I read it.
For me, actually catching something on a continuity or contradiction level is kinda cool, especially from very big authors.
In Timeline, a character asks about the grandfather paradox, and the scientist answering is sternly saying you can’t really have a big effect on history but then later they say you can’t bring modern technology to the past.
To me, if you bring modern weapons or anything really you’ll have a gigantic impact on future history unless you manage to erase all trace of it being there.
