Which books left you with strong impression because they were written so well that they even manage to aroused “wrong”/ conflicting feelings about matters you have very strong (opposite) opinion? Or maybe they surprisingly didn’t evoke much feeling about matters you do have a strong opinion?
For me this was the case with Gabriel García Márquez books I read. His writing style was so mesmerising (or I don’t know what else) that I even found myself not much reacting when reading about very old men’s love interest towards young girls. I was quite surprised by my lack of reaction towards behaviour I find very disturbing.
What would be your examples?
