I’ve always read aloud to my daughter at night but I’ve run out of ideas for the next book. She is turning 10 in April. The last couple of years I read the Hobbit and all of the chronicles of Narnia series. I like to read books that I will really enjoy as well. She is currently reading her own way through the Harry Potter series. Any good suggestions for what to read next?

A Series of Unfortunate Events
His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman
The book of Lost Things by John Connolly. Still one of my favourites, but be aware its dark.
*Highly* recommend the [Nevermoor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6a6d5ca1-b2f5-47be-828c-018144d3bbc7) series by Jessica Townsend! It’s my favorite series, and it’s one a few parents on here have said they’ve enjoyed reading with their own children 🙂
Ribsy by Cleary
The Redwall series! I started reading them as an adult after my teen cousin introduced me to these kid’s books. My husband loves them too. You can read them in publishing order or chronological. I suggest published order for your first time through.
Fablehaven by Brandon Mull is a must read. You and your daughter will both love it. I got two of my kids reading solo with this story and I still read it all the time. Plus it’s an inexpensive set.
Btw how exciting that she’s reading Harry Potter. It’s one of my favorites.
The secret garden 🪴!!!!
My daughter is enjoying Stardust. She is 7 but it is an adult book.
