Hello!
I normally don’t like reading science fiction or fantasy books (I have a really hard time understanding the “rules” of worlds that are too different from reality), but I’ve recently read a couple of books that involved being stuck in time/time traveling that weren’t too science fiction-y and I really enjoyed them. The books in question are One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston and This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub. Do you know of any other books that involve a science fiction element without being too far off from realistic fiction?
Thanks in advance 💐

Stephen King’s **11/22/63**. The protagonist goes back in time with the intent of preventing the assassination of JFK.
[The Impossible Lives Of Greta Wells](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16065595-the-impossible-lives-of-greta-wells) (one of my favorite authors – Andrew Sean Greer)
[The Time Traveler’s Wife](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18619684-the-time-traveler-s-wife?ref=nav_sb_ss_1_15)
Maybe To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, but One Last Stop is basically the perfect book for this.
The Future of Another Timeline by Annalee Newitz might work. It spends no time on the mechanics of time travel, and instead it’s focused more on sociology and anthropology
For a unique blend of science fiction and humor, ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ by Douglas Adams is a must-read. The intergalactic misadventures of Arthur Dent are as hilarious as they are insightful, poking fun at the absurdity of life and the universe.
Outlander series
As others have recommended, _The Time Traveler’s Wife_, by Audrey Niffenegger
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
The Do-Over by Lynn Painter
Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister (I have to admit this one was difficult for me to get into, but the ending made it so worth it)
Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Hope you try out some of these🤗
A Shortcut In Time, by Charles Dickinson
Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
