Im sure this question has been asked copiously before, but what do you think is the ideal length for a book? This is an entirely open ended question because there are short stories that convey as much if not more character/world building and nuance into a few pages as some books in 1000s, but i am here to argue that you dont really need more than 4-500 pages to create a balanced book. I dont like books that are too short or too long (more distaste t for the latter). I will read a classic must read book that is really long, but i dont really like to. I also see the point that some of us might want a never ending story, but that seems to be to utopian for me, i want to engage with as much diverse content as i can
