I’m looking for some experimental novels, and especially novels or novellas that have extra objects (letters that fold out, etc) in their physical or digital presentation. A good example of this is: B.S. Johnson’s “The Unfortunates”, which is a novel comprised of loose pamphlets that come in a box! It’s cool.

    Some that I’ve read already:
    – House of Leaves
    – S
    – Tree of Codes

Does anyone know of others? I love them.

    Thanks!

    1. Horror-Perception936 on

The Illuminae Files, starting with Illuminae, by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. (I recommend the physical copies)

    2. Nox by Anne Carson (poetry about loss collected in a box of notecards)

And Arno Schmidt’s books are incredibly long and almost impossible to find, but they have the most experimental layout I’ve ever seen in a literary work.
