Have you ever seen that House episode where that woman has a fantastic memory and can remember every single bad thing ever done to her by other people? And can’t move on from it?
That me. Now please, if you have a suggestion for a book that doesn’t mention God on every page or every other page, I would really appreciate it. I have no issue with religious things, but I, myself, am not religious nor do I intend to be any time soon.
I *did* check out a Joyce Meyers book (grew up watching her) and so I’m not entirely opposed to it, but would prefer non-religious/low religious things first.

With the caveat that it’s still on my to read list and I can’t speak from direct reading experience, you might want to look into *Failures of Forgiveness: What We Get Wrong and How to Do Better* by philosopher Myisha Cherry to see if it’s of interest. It approaches forgiveness as a complex thing.
