I’m looking for a slasher/horror novel where you don’t know who the killer is. I’m looking for one where the murders are happening in the present, not one where the protagonist is looking back on the past. A movie with a similar vibe is Scream. Thanks in advance!

I don’t watch a lot of slasher movies, and I’ve never seen Scream, so I don’t know how similar this is, but you might like And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It’s a mystery, but it’s sort of a thriller, too. It’s about ten people who are invited to this island for a vacation, and one by one, they start dying. Normally, I’m not a super fast reader, but I read And Then There Were None in a single day.
