Book like Philip K Dick’s “Do android dreams of electric sheep?” But the human-like robots get to live a good life?

I was thinking about the replicants from the book, maybe I misunderstood the book or interpreted it wrong but i genuinely believe the replicants deserved a good life and to not be chased by bounty hunters. I want a book where this happens, maybe it starts off with them being chased but half way through the government realizes it’d be better to let them live?
