I’m looking for books written in a specific way, but am having trouble finding anything because I have no idea what to call it.
The best example I can think of is **Daisy Jones and the Six**. The novel, not the series, obvs. I really like the way the book is set up as a group interview or a string of interviews, where each character gives their impression of what happened and how. I read several non-fiction books written this way years ago – At least one was about a rock group who disagreed on nearly everything. I’m not sure what group it was. I want to say Fleetwood Mac, but I suspect that comes to mind based on **Daisy Jones** instead of actual memory.
The subject or fiction vs. nonfiction wouldn’t matter, it’s the style of writing I’m after a name for. Journalistic something or other, maybe?
Someone suggested “group memoir,” but that seems descriptive and not really something I could search for.
Would be grateful for any help or ideas that would point me in the right direction.
