The other day I found myself reading Negative Space by Yeager B.R. and had a personal realization that i might have become a bit fed up with such violent themes and that I want to read something that does not make me, at least subconciously, feel slightly terrible afterwards.

It might be a strange request because I do not exactly know what I want but I would like to read a book that does not contain violence, tension, stress and as little romance as possible. I dont really mind the genre (or do I, with all these caveats) and I will take into consideration any suggestion.
If the request is too specific, I’d be able to tolerate some of those “banned” items but please let the books contain as little of it as possible.

    Thank you in advance.

[The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard!! It’s one of my favorite books, and there’s little to no romance—just a heavy focus on platonic love. It’s kind of like a slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world. It’s much much better than it sounds, and I highly recommend it. I think it fits what you’re looking for exactly!
