Hi everyone – I’m currently creeping close to 30yo and am feeling a bit aimless in life. I have a great career, but I’m getting reoccurring thoughts of if I’m truly living. Am I using this one life to its fullest, and do I want my life to continue going on its current path? Would love a fiction novel that could help me work through some of these thoughts. Though it would be great, the book doesn’t necessarily need to attack these themes head-on; even a story about someone going out of their comfort zone and taking risks might help. I’m just getting back into reading, so admittedly I find it difficult to read older texts (pre-1900s). I’m definitely willing to struggle through an older book if you think it’ll be good for me, but otherwise prefer something more recent with more accessible prose. Thanks in advance!

It’s on the lighter side of things, definitely the kind of book you can finish over the course of a long day at the beach but Larry Niven’s Ringworld comes to mind.
