I recently read my first sci-fi thriller book and LOVED it (Isolating Contact by Ash Remington). The writing style was so unique and I loved the mix of sci-fi elements along with strong characterization and a fast pace.
I would love some recommendations of books that are similar or that also fall into the sci-fi/thriller genre.

Not sure if these are similar but I just read the first two books in The Expanse series, and Children of Time. Everything was good.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch is the first sci-fi/thriller I recommend for someone who is new or wants to get out of a reading slump with a fast-paced and entertaining read.
Less thriller, but a good for someone new in the genre, The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. It sets a lot of standards for the genre.
